The All-Powerful Marcel Duchamp Orchestra

Music

It’s impossible to predict wherethe Marcel Duchamp All-Powerful Orchestra will turn up next. True to its penchant for breaking the mould, the collective is taking La Bâtie on a nomadic musical adventure that will take in more than seven venues across Greater Geneva. An invitation to follow in the footsteps of an extraordinary orchestra, equally at home in concert halls as it is in public spaces.

For nearly twenty years, this Geneva-based ensemble has been crafting a body of work unlike any other, where rhythmic fervour, sonic experimentation and a spirit of freedom converge. Their latest album, *Ventre Unique*, continues this exploration on a new scale: the vocals multiply, textures intertwine, and the songs embrace the upheavals of the present without ever succumbing to despondency.

Backed by an impressive array of brass, strings, percussion, marimbas and guitars, more than fifteen musicians craft music that is generous, fluid and intensely alive.

So set off on this sonic journey alongside the artists, somewhere between a collective celebration and a joyful escape off the beaten track.
