Pornographers Sing Brassens

A girl singing Brassens? Blasphemy! I can hear you from here. Precisely: the sacrilegious, the subversive and the irreverent – Georges Brassens, the self-proclaimed ‘pornographer of the phonograph’, had made this his own, with wit and glee.

Alice Richtarch – known for her contributions to the Alice, Capsul and Alice Looper projects – sings with such heartfelt passion and exquisite sensitivity, whether it’s the risqué lyrics, the little-known gems or the great classics of Uncle Georges: ‘Le parapluie’, ‘L’orage’, ‘Les bancs publics’ and, who knows, a few carefully selected tracks that you may not yet be familiar with.
