Writing residency at the chateau : May you only hear!

We are currently welcoming author Lise Facchin to a residency at the Chateau of Voltaire in Ferney.

A year ago, the castle, the town of Ferney-Voltaire, La Chartreuse - CNES de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon and the Villa Gillet joined forces to offer a contemporary writing residency based on the theme of "The author' s story".

The playwright selected was asked to propose a dramaturgic text defending a universal cause linked to the struggles of the Enlightenment, which resonates today in the form of a plea.

It was the project "Puissiez-vous seulement entendre" by writer Lise Facchin that was selected by the jury from the three cultural establishments. It is a plea with a theatrical reading answering the question: how does teenage revolt contribute to changing our society ?

The first writing phase took place in May in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon ; the second is currently taking place at the Château de Voltaire.
