To mark European Heritage Days 2026, Voltaire’s chateau and its gardens are open to visitors free of charge.
- Soak up the intimate atmosphere of Voltaire’s bedroom and experience life in a chateau in the apartments of Madame Denis, the philosopher’s niece and companion!
- Discover the exhibition “Sergio Toppi, Il maestro” upstairs and the exhibition“The Fates of Candide” on the garden level.
- Continue your exploration of the estate and follow the paths leading to Voltaire’s greatest achievement in his gardens: the arbour!
- Don’t miss a stroll through the permaculture kitchen garden and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Alps and the Jura!
